  General Enquiry
What is my.backup?

my.backup is a software which enables you to easily back up data from any hard disk into a USB drive.

Can I backup my data stored in a USB drive?

Yes, with my.backup you can back up your USB data into another USB drive.

Can I backup my USB data into a hard disk drive?

No, you may only back up data into a USB drive or any other removable drive.

Can I schedule my backup job?

Yes, you may, however the my.backup program must be running for the scheduled job to take place.

Can my.backup work from other computers without installation to the other computers?

Yes it can work. This is because the file that is backed up and its restoration destination are independent from the hardware that is being used.

What are the benefits of my.backup?

With my.backup, you can continuously save your files automatically or manually while working. It is easy to operate, and you can schedule a specific back-up session for each back-up plan. In addition, you may also run multiple back-up plans simultaneously, providing you with efficiency and lots of time saved.

What is the difference between my.backup and the one-touch-button software?

my.backup offers you easy convenience by automatically backing up your pre-selected files/folders. The timing of each back up can be preset using the 'Schedule' feature, such as at every 30 minutes, hourly or as you so desire.
The one-touch-button software only allows you to back up documents manually when you click on the button. Over time, the hardware button will become faulty and one would need to purchase a new hardware.
The one-touch-button software is common software found on many different brands of external harddisks. The danger with this is that people can easily plug in their external harddisk onto your computer, click on the button and obtain all your confidential files/folders.
